I predicted this would be a bad week (not a big fan of the "Diamond")
But I just knew this one would fall flat and in my estimation this show did. A lot of eggs were laid...and if there is an IDOL God,...Castro will be summarily released back into the wild where a band of young and old Amazons will carry him off and make him their head Kahuna or something (with his ukulele in tow, 'natch!)
You know it's a bad show when 1.) Castro makes an excuse for his poor performance...he usually takes shit in stride, without a comment.
2.) Lil' David's voice cracks
3.) Paula mistakingly critiques a singer's second song when he hasn't even SANG IT YET!!!! (someone, check her coca-cola cup STAT!)
4.) Not even David Cook can pull this particular show outta' the dumper.

Not one performer made me sit up, take notice, cause the hair on my arms to stand on end...nuffin'.....
In fact it was so bad...no one gets my PICK O THE WEEK. Instead I leave you with something with much more flair and drama...Christian and Cheryl from last night's Dancing With The Stars...where at some point in the dance Christian's masturbating arm, gives out on him and he goes limp...on top of Cheryl....(thought it'd be more exciting than anybody's performance tonite.

O.k., now the first thing I want to ask is...uh, was it just me or did anyone ELSE catch Dreads YAWNING when they cut to the 4 contestants backstage awaiting their fate??? I'm telling you...in all my years of stage performance I never ONCE yawned in the wings...you just don't, you can't...your adrenaline is pumping too hard, too fast! I've also never farted or sneezed on stage...certain things don't happen biologically!!! Jason, if you are that tired or bored, go home, put those dreads to sleep and wake up refreshed AFTER American Idol is all done!
If I was him, I would have just taken the microphone and said, "You know, I appreciate all you prepubes giving me this opportunity to make you wet your pants every Tuesday and Wed. night but come on....I'm no where near David Cook or Carly's talent. I'm good at what I do but it's not AM IDOL good! So I would like to bow out now with dignity and grace and maybe someone out there will give me a record deal in my OWN genre.

OMG..first I hear Elliot Yamin's mom passed this week and then I do some googling and I find out that the tears of David Cook's were real and caused by the fact his brother, who is dying of brain cancer was able to be in the audience last night.
I'm about to cry myself.
I'm watching the show right now and little David just sat down!!! LOL....

I was a teensy worried when I found out there would be a Mariah Carey week all together. I'm a semi fan, I appreciate her talent and all that but I couldn't imagine what the guys would sing! Especially David and Jason.
And the first few bars were a bit nerve wracking; I wasn't sure which way he was going to go with it and it sounded dicey. But then he hit his stride!
And then I said,..."try and beat that Jason!"
And in an apples and oranges kind of way, I think he damn well kept up! I'd down load both tunes...if I was so inclined...
