I turned to fiance and being the country afficianado I am, said,..."That's his genre!" And Paula echoed my thoughts! Awesome job.

LaKisha...mmmm Not so good. Remember I predict it will be Melinda and someone else as the final two...not Lakisha and someone else.

Blake...I didn't think it was that great...the Tim McGraw version, much better...he did ok....

Jordan..nailed the hell out of that song. (Has anyone seen Martina when she did CROSSROADS with Pat Benetar??!! That woman is a powerhouse...if you don't know her...she's awesome!) Fiance overheard on a radio station that Jordan is just about as professional as a 17 year old can be...she is a performer by trade already.

Melinda...thank you Simon for telling Melinda what I've been saying for awhile...quit the AW SHUCKS attitude! You're the best! I like you with the long hair (I do believe Lakisha and Melinda have lost a bit of weight...) She did great....as per *yawn* usual!....

Chris...didn't like it...he's too young to be singing about the way it used to be, "Mayberry"....OH BUT when CHRIS made mention of Virginia Tech, did you see Simon's EYES ROLL. I was sooooo mad. I said, why you fucker....

After the commercial he did damage control by chiming in oh yes, we all here at American Idol blah blah.....fuck you Simon. Cold Hearted Snake...(no pun intended Paula)

Sanjaya....good Lord... It was fun, then it was funny and now it's just pathetic....I almost want to boycott if he stays after tonites performance....

Nah, I'll still watch but come on America...his time is UP!

For the first time since the beginning of the season...I was not overly impressed with Melinda. Or Lakisha...aside from Blake and yes Sammich (er, Sanjaya)...I was rather bored.

Melinda still gets singer of the season...don't get me wrong but tonite she was not giving me "goosebumps" and I have a lot of hair on my arms and trust me, when I get goosebumps, everyone can see them!!! She'd still sound great on a CD with the song but not a showstopper...

Lakisha...well, to tell ya' the truth...not crazy about Gloria Estefan...and not crazy about this song....but she had a hot looking dress on. But she was outta' breath with just a few steps and ass shakes...

Chris...started off weak but got better as the song went on. It was a GREAT night for the band and especially the percussionists!!! You guys rocked the house!!!

Haylie...why oh why,..... enuff said.

Phil...my prediction...next to go. I'd say Haylie but she has some sort of "HOT LEGS" following.

Blake...had the hit of the NITE! Good thing he had a good nite with THAT song...Jennifer would have had him killed had he butchered her man's song!

Sanjayasammich....I was pleasantly surprised! I told fiance that this song would be in his range...he did o.k. with it....and notice how his head hair's shorter but now it's coming out his face! *shakes head....*

Jordan...great voice...so-so song....

And those are my thoughts!

WHILE MY OTHER BLOG WILL FINISH UP ON MAY 20TH....MY AM. IDOL BLOG WILL STAY 'TIL THE END OF THIS SEASON...HMMM...WHAT WILL COME FIRST...THE END OF MY OTHER BLOG OR AMERICAN IDOL'S SEASON...??? BUT I AM COMMITTED TO THIS TIL THE BITTER END!

It's late...I'm tired...but I will tell you this...I was actually impressed for the first time with Haylie...I think she and Sanjaya need to go but this week...not bad.

Sanjaya..still behind him if he puts out a cd at my local Starbucks but for the competition...it's turning into a bit of a travesty. He better pour it on or else he's going to disappoint ME!

OMG Chris...what a great job you did! REPLAY of the nite!!

Melinda...*yawn...what more can we say..."A Master Class" each week!

LaKisha...excellent...turn up the dial on your charm o meter please...

O.k., now the whole Sanjaya thing is just getting ridiculous but again...hey....if for no other reason to keep him in...than to see what "the hair do du jour" will be! I maintain however...with the right kind of training, marketing and production, he could produce a comfortable, easy lovin' on a Sunday morning Starbuck sold CD. Just a thought!

Haylie...why? What is the attraction....she's o.k., looking...but the singing...unless those Howard Stern fans ARE voting for the worst one each week? If ya'll disagree...let me know what is it with her that keeps her in....millions of horny boys and men? Am I being too rough on her?

LaKisha and Melanie....again I repeat...it's like apples and oranges. LaKisha is old school, Mahalia Jackson, Aretha Franklin and Melinda, if you can get passed the now very old, very tiring: "aw shucks-a-tude" is more Gladys Knight with a little Mary K.Blige thrown in. Still, she has my vote, no neck and who-me attitude and all! (Just watch the fashion angle girlfriend!)

Chris Sligh...knew he was going...did you hear him say to Phil as he was hugging him..."You owe me $50 bucks."? Well he had bet him he'd be next. There's a market out there for him...he's funny...put him on a show or something.

Well anyway...you get the idea....so I have some questions:

Me? I want Haylie and I think it will be down to her and Phil and damn it...I suppose Haylie's face will save her ass for another week.

And here's a prediction....Lakisha (or KiKi as her friends call her)....will get kicked off quite unexpectedly. People love her singing but she's doing nothing to ingratiate herself with American. She doesn't have the charm of the others. Hey I could be wrong...maybe a big voice will overcome lack of charm.

And remember from last season...don't let it shock you if it goes down to someone and Melinda and Melinda loses! Cause when it came to someone with talent and a good ole boy underdog with mediocre singing skills....remember what happened. America took him to their hearts and the groundswell, the grassroots machinery took on a life of it's own that he couldn't have stopped if he had begged them to stop. Soul Patrol was a patrol possessed!

Sparks....good girl...rockin right along...BUT the song didn't have enough melody but plenty of hooks. She's gonna' be around for awhile...I didn't know her dad was a retired NFL jock? Did you? And OMG...pleeze...who the hell told that girl that outfit would work tonite! Can anyone spell...t-a-b-l-e-c-l-o-t-h and the skirt did NOT enhance her at all.....

Came in late tonite...missed LaKisha and only caught the criticisms for Chris....oh and missed Chris Richardson...how were they???
