but I hafta' admit...I liked it! I still need her gone mind you, but I liked it! I didn't hate watching her.

Carly...I disagree...I think the song choice was PERFECT...I always imagined her singing Bonnie Tyler! (tonite was Total Eclipse of the Heart)

Jason....you know why he isn't taken seriously or why Simon asked whether or not he's taking it seriously (the competition) because unfortunately, by nature, he's an easy going guy. He has this natural, "aww shucks" kind of temperament. If he acted any OTHER way, we'd think he wasn't being authentic. We'd see right through him.
Which leads me to the winner (in my mind, THE winner of it all if he doesn't get kicked out like Chris did a few years back...)
David Cook who did a ballad/rocker ballad version of Billie Jean!!!! (By Michael Jackson!) talk about sheer genius!!!???

As for David Artchuletta...I LOVE that song that he did! It has always been one of my favorites. I thot he did a wonderful, wonderful job with it and he actually looked like he was ENJOYING it! Wish he could have done the WHOLE version!
I believe that the song that Carly sang was PERFECT for her...she did it absolutely PERFECT! When I heard the first two notes my son and I looked at each other and said the same thing...perfect song for her.
I am still not impressed with Jason. He sang very well tonight but he seems TOO nonchalant about it all...like "if I win I do cuz all the girls thinks I is cute" "If I don't win, oh well." I did like his little spanish tweak on the song.

I really thot Kristy FINALLY found a good song for herself! But...what a gimmick.
I thot Chekizie (yeah...sp.? *shrug*) might have picked a 'boring' song but Luther Vandros didn't even do it as well as he did! He has the most amazing resonating/rich toned voice for songs like that. He is going to BE the next Luther.
Syesha...she was okay...but missed too many pitch points.
Brook sang well...but I think instead of just starting with her and the piano some violin background would have been nice...when she moved into the Police version she ruined it.
And, of course...David Cook showed Simon he is NOT predictable...he CAN do a ballad...and I have heard that version of Billy Jean before only he tweaked it even better. He is awesome and definitely deserves the title.
