I, too, loved the dress Kristi was wearing! She really looked great & even did her song well. She's better at country & I think that's where she'll end up....
Michael is really ramping things up, huh? I think it'll come down to be Michael & David Cook.
I am in total agreement...Michael and David and so at that point, either way I'll be happy but I think David will be happier going his own way and not being locked into those horrid 7 year Idol contracts.

I didn't get to watch the performances this week, but I did watch the results. What't the deal with Simon's criticism ot the one gals clothes? What's that got to do with how well she sings?

He was just saying that she needs to be the total package, hair, face, singing talent, poise etc... but you know how he can be...he's blunt and doesn't sugar coat things and so things come across as harsh.
In and of itself it DOESNT have anything to do with the singing, I mean, if I was blind, I wouldn't care if she was in a burlap bag! BUT in the context of POP IDOL,...I guess you have to be more, sing better, look better than the average singer, performer. You have to have that "it" factor that drives you to the top...
Again, I don't know it all...these are just my extremely humble thoughts and opinions!
But in comparison to the other gals, that night she did look a bit drab.

PS) Sherry...I don't know about you, but she looked great from the neck up...her hair's a bit longer and she has really gorgeous eyes. I can't see her as American Pop Idol (with that cool Irish accent!!) She's actually too good! She had a hard time with her record label in 2001 but she's older, she has more exposure now and I can see her with another CD doing well this time around. I'm not sure what her sound is so I can't say I'd buy it. I mean, I LOVE CHRIS DAUGHTRY's VOICE but alas, it's not "my music" so I don't buy his cds.

Now Polar, you know and I know, the little teenyboppers are keeping Dreads in! He came on so strong for me with those blue eyes and that first song of his, BUT I soon came to realize, he has little range and he doesn't have the personality it takes to be IDOL material. But he still has a voice I like to listen to and if he comes out with a cd, depending on the direction, I might buy it!
Can you imagine if he's one of the last two and he has to sing this big ass finale song (a la Sparks and Lewis last year.) with his range? Nope, IDOL has to have a big booming voice that sails to the rafters...

I am thinking it MIGHT be Syesha that gets the boot next OR it could be Jason. Depends on their next performance. Brooke is really starting to get on my nerves! ("okay" "okay" "okay" "okay")
Oh yeh, the "okays" started when she got some heat from Simon (for the first time) it's a defense mechanism...it looks better to counter with oakyokayokayokay rather than stick her fingers in her ears and say,.."lalalalalalala"!!

Hey there stranger!
Just popping by to see what's up in your world...my kids would love that you have an American Idol blog...they are all about Idol these days! I hope all is well with you and that you enjoyed a wonderful weekend. take care out there...
Many Blogstream members are there
already! Quotes from members: "It's like blog lite!" -- "I like the instant
gratification!" -- "Stop spectating, get in the game!"
If you have not joined in, you are really missing out!
I was not too thrilled with the songs either. I hope they have something better for next week.
I still liked David Cook better only becuz he did the arrangement himself.
Is that darn Kristy growing on me??? UGH! LOL
I watched the cast off show....hmm...lotsa' little glitches.
Dolly was ethereal, she always is...
When it came down to the last three, I knew Rami was leaving. But I admit, she sang her song better last night than the night before!
Is it Neil Diamond next? I don't know if these younger kids are going to even know any of his songs?!
And I can't wait til they do broadway tunes (when Sir Weber comes on board as mentor)
