 DAVID C....to the TOP!
Back to Full Blog

Sayesha did GREAT with the Alicia Keyes song...

Lil Pampers did one of my top ten fav. tunes of all times.."Longer" by Dan Fogleberg and he did it well BUT it was kinda' old for him...

And Davey should NEVER be allowed to say the word BOO (as in sweetheart) !

David Cook...from beginning to end...

My birthday is next Tuesday...and I want David Cook to win....that would be a nice gift! And if he wanted to show up at my door...(geesh, I'm 20 years older than he is...shame on me!)

Fiance..? What fiance?

WAs that you holding up that sign "Cougars for Cook"?

To have Cook sing "The First Time (ever I Saw Your Face)" was the absolute melter of my life. sssssssssiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiighhhhhhh. He did well on everything else.

Syesha's 2nd song...eh. Not a good one for her to pick. The third song she did pretty good...needed a lot of energy.

Little Davey did good...not great.

I can't say I was overly impressed with anything tonight. David Cook didn't even do anything extraordinary like he has done in the past. He was even just good. But, I will buy a video of him singing the WHOLE Roberta Flack rendition of "The First Time...". It brought tears to me eyes. (and warmed me ALL over... )

Rubble,
I agree with you, David A. was/is good Syeshs (?) didn't have the songs that she could make hers. After all that's what the judges are looking for. David Cook has the rock agenda down pat. I don't want to miss a thing is a great song, but it might just be me, seems like the beginning of each of the songs he sang, was to low. BUT I believe he will go all the way. Just my 2cants. Have a good eve.

COUGARS FOR COOK....LOL I loved that sign!!!

Now the "melter" for me was unfortunately LONGER, but I wish David had sang it...back in '79 that was one of those songs where when I heard it, I just wanted to be by myself, wallowing in the gooey-ness of it and thinking of this boy I was head over heels in love with...

I still think of him when I hear that song...even tho' now he's 48...(and not doing well physically/medically...*sigh* )....

ANYWAY (wotta' downer, Rubble!)

Yeh so, David's last song was a great one to finish the night on....

At first (here's my humble two cents) I wasn't sure he was in synch with the string section (Cook, with the violinist and whatnot in the semi circle around him.) But mid way they seemed to meld better.

One of the things I like about Cook is just when you think he can't hit a higher note,...he hits a higher note.
